Summary of Trial
Being used to mainly a 1/10 scale R/C, I was actually first surprised by the RC18T's small 1/18 stature, but after testing this little guy with it's 370 motor, I found out that it does not come short in any way of performance and character. There are three models to choose from; an RTR with a 280 motor, an RTR with a 370 motor, and the factory team kit (just add electronics). The RTR Kit comes ready to go with included motor, oil-filled shocks, all electronics, ball bearings, battery and wall charger. First off, I was blown away with its overall speed! It flew! On carpet and even to the streets it had no problem getting to speed and remaining there. I then decided to test its off-road ability. With the overcompensated 370 motor this little 4WD shaft driven beast went wherever it wanted to go! Its actual climbing ability astounded me as it went into thick grass, soft dirt, and climbed up hills with full force. It even pops right up into a wheelie with no problem. Just be careful as in the first time this was done, she flipped right over! With the RC18T's upgraded FET's the run time was sufficient and definetly a major plus. After a nice hard test run I brought her in to examine for any damages and found none whatsoever. As with all Team Assocaited vehicles there will be a full variaety of hop-ups as some are already flooding the markets. I have even seen a buggy body for it already. In my opinion, I highly recommend this truck for everything from just plain fun bashing all the way to performance racing.
